Forensic Process

Every item is physically examined by our in-house team using a proprietary 72 point methodology.
This covers detailed assessment of materials, construction, stitching, hardware composition and all identifying features. We do not use AI or automated systems at any stage.

Our 72 point methodology was developed in-house to create a structured and repeatable standard for Hermès authentication. It ensures that every physical component of the bag is assessed with the same level of precision and provides a clear technical basis for multiexpert review. All items are handled within a controlled, access restricted environment.
Multi-expert Review

Each piece is reviewed by four Hermès specialists, comprising two internal experts and two independent external reviewers. Physical inspection is completed in-house, while external reviews are conducted independently. If any expert does not confirm authenticity, a certificate is not issued. This multi-layered review process removes individual subjectivity and creates a defensible standard suitable for high-value decisions.

Lifetime Guarantee

Authenticated by Aureon is the only Hermès authentication certificate supported by a lifetime financial guarantee. Our cover extends throughout the client’s ownership, recognising that authenticity concerns often appear many years after purchase. Valuation

Every authentication includes a formal market valuation provided as a separate supporting document. The certificate confirms authenticity, and the valuation provides market replacement value. Together they form a complete asset pack for insurance or legal use.

ABA Asset Protection Tag

Each authenticated bag includes a discreet, ultra-slim asset protection tag placed within the interior pocket. The tag is provided as standard with every authenticated item. It remains inactive when supplied and can be enabled privately by the owner using their own smartphone. Activation is entirely controlled by the client, and Authenticated by Aureon does not access, view or retain any tracking data once the bag leaves our possession. The purpose is simple: enhanced peace of mind for high-value bags, supporting clients who want an additional safeguard alongside authentication, valuation and our lifetime guarantee.
